“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” Trailer Photo Recap

We finally have the trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice where our precious super heroes will fight first and unite later for justice.

The official synopsis:

Fearing the actions of a god-like super hero left unchecked, Gotham Citys own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’ most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs.  And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than its ever known before.

The trailer also shows Wonder Woman, Lex Luthor, Jeremy Irons as Alfred and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White (yay!)

So this is how it starts, a Senator is angry with Superman for destroying Metropolis while he fought Zod.

Today is a day for truth. The world needs to know what he stands for. That kind of power is dangerous. Let the record show that this city holds him responsible.”

People are protesting, telling him to go home. Which is a pretty ungrateful thing to do when you have a super guy wanting to take care of all your problems.

Clark is as emotional but dignified as always.

Guess who witnesses his own tower collapse?

Yup, Bruce is there as the Wayne Tower is collapsing. And he’s not exactly happy.

So this becomes personal.

Alfred does what Alfred does best, shares his wisdom.

“That’s how it starts. The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good men… cruel.”

Then we hear Clark:

“This bat vigilante. He’s like a one man reign of terror.”

Perry White tells Clark to stay out of Batman’s business.

“You don’t get to decide what the right thing is. Nobody cares about Clark Kent taking on the Batman.”

You know that’s what he’s thinking. (Also I realized the “Clarke” typo later but I embrace it fully now)

Lois reminds Clark what he stands for.

“This means something, it’s all some people have, it’s all that gives them hope.”

I know I know… it means hope.

Then we see people standing on some roof with S painted on it, waiting for his help.

He kind of just hovers as if his cape cost too much and he doesn’t want to get mud on it.

His mother Martha gives him some advice on how to handle his relationship with people of the world:

People hate what they don’t understand Clark. Be their hero, be their angel, be their monument, be anything they need you to be.”

So we see Clark saving people.

And some weirdos reaching for him.

Pretty impressive.

But then Martha’s like:

“Or be none of it, you don’t owe this world a thing. You never did.”

She’s got a point.

Then Lex aka one of the most annoying villains to ever villain comes in with his weird obsession:

Don’t you dare touch the hair, Lex.

And Bruce has his own problems and his own maniacs to deal with.

But he’s mostly concerned with Superman because… he’s super.

“Twenty years in Gotham. How many good guys are left? How many stayed that way? He has the power to wipe out the human race, and I must destroy him.”

In the meantime we see some soldiers showing Clark their respect? gratitude?

Then we have Thomas Wayne (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) protecting his family because just maybe there’s someone on earth who doesn’t know this about Batman. And if you didn’t… well there are spoilers below.

We all know how that goes.

Then Wonder Woman shows up like:

Then Batman’s fighting soldiers.

Clark doesn’t approve something but we don’t really see what it is.smtsmtvlcsnap-2015-07-12-20h08m26s855

Alfred is frustrated with Bruce, reminding him Superman’s not their enemy.

Because look who’s here? This bastard looking affectionately at a large piece of kryptonite:

Then Clark is flying and seems pretty mad, in my opinion with the laser eyes and everything.

Lex is like, “Red capes are comingggg.”

Well, he had a point about the red cape. It’s pretty damn charming.

Look who meets who! I wonder how that goes.

I’m pretty sure they could do that forever but hopefully instead they’ll just decide they’re being silly and focus on their common enemies.

How exciting is that?

Until the movie, they’ll be bickering in my mind.
