Meet the Harmons: Happiest family in the world.
They buy a new house.
The real estate agent warns them about the previous owners’ deaths.
Yup. Violet’s into this stuff.
They also have a cute dog.
We get the impression that Ben Harmon’s in need of some serious lovin’.
But Vivien gives him the cold shoulder.
Their daughter Violet starts school and everything seems great.
She quickly makes some friends.
Back at home Vivien meets Addy, who’s simply the best. Her hobbies include telling people they’ll die in the house.
Her mother Constance shows up and she’s just fabulous.
Ben starts seeing his patients at the house. Tate’s the first one we meet.
He has some strong opinions about life.
Not to mention interesting fantasies.
Later he meets Violet, who’s self-harming.
At night, we see Ben sleepwalking, he’s suddenly developed an interest in fire.
The next day Moira shows up for work.
While she seems like a nice, somewhat creepy old lady to Vivien, Ben sees a whole different side of her.
Oh, Ben.
What’s going on? We just don’t know. It’s bananas. *evil laughter*
Later Tate has another session with Ben while Violet’s eavesdropping.
So they start spending time together.
Yes, Tate is kind of weird but cute in his own way but Ben doesn’t really approve of this friendship, upsetting both Tate and Violet.
Of course later he’s busy with his own problems such as being seduced by the old/young maid Moira.
Sweet. Explain that, Ben.
He’s extremely frustrated so he tries again with Vivien.
Her exasperated face is the best.
But Ben loses it and they have a big fight because he cheated on her.
That’s it. That’s Ben’s character in one line.
After their fight they get it on and suddenly everything’s fine.
Later Violet comes with blood on her face.
That night Vivien has another moment of passion/trauma with a man who she thinks is Ben.
And Tate convinces Violet to scare her bully.
Fun fun.
But Violet freaks out when she sees a monster baby.
Tate’s pretty cool about it.
Later the burned face man who’s been stalking Ben tells him his story.
He’s burned the house and himself. Amazing.
Later Vivien gives Ben some good news. She’s pregnant.
Oh boi, indeed.
What will the Harmons do now? What’s Tate’s deal? Will Violet find love in a hopeless place? What about the old/young maid?
