Hello my dear Fannibals.
“And The Woman Clothed With the Sun” begins with Hannibal totally recognizing Will by his smell.
I’m sorry but this is all that I saw.
What even are their scenes together? Too much, that’s what they are. Hannibal asks why Will doesn’t call him by his first name.
Aww he missed you so much Will, why you gotta be so mean?
Will: Because he tried to eat my-
I know, I know. You’re gonna have to get over that sometime. Every relationship has problems, Will. Jealousy, lies, cheating, good ole brain eating, the usual. But no, Will says he’s more comfortable the less personal they are. Ouch.
Will is probably used to his creepy smelling powers but Hannibal picks up on more stuff about Will’s new life.
This whole scene is so emotionally charged and great to watch with their amazing acting.
“You just came here to look at me. Came here to get the old scent again. Why don’t you smell yourself?”
Wow, Hannibal. He sees right through Will. Will is deeply offended.
Then Hanni asks to see the file and reminds Will they’re family.
Then we see flashbacks with him and Abigail.
Flashback Hannibal is emotional about hurting Abigail, probably because she’s one of the Top 5 Mischa substitutes.
She’s not sure if that’s smart but Hannibal’s like:
He says he needs to collect some flesh.
She asks (hopes) if he means a finger.
Then they spray Abigail’s blood everywhere.
Back at present day Alana and Will talk a little bit and she tries to understand if he’s okay with seeing Hannibal again.
I can just hear Will saying these to himself.
Okay, the last thing he needs is more therapy.
(Yes, I’ve started to react to my own recaps instead of what actually happens on the show)
Then he asks Alana if she’s still with Margot.
#RecappersAgainstBisexualErasure (I saw an opportunity and took it)
Alana subtly warns Will to keep his distance from Hannibal the Cannibal aka his ex.
Later of course, Will’s facial expressions when he’s around Hannibal give away his true feelings. Â
They walk in the crimes scenes inside their shared mind places.
I won’t even comment on this. Later our favorite journalist shows up.
In the meantime Alana threatens Hannibal.
She tells him, if he’s up to something, he’ll suffer the consequences. No books, drawings or even a toilet.
It made me cringe to hear Alana tell him these things but at the same time, this is the only thing she knows she can do to protect herself and Will, right? Then again, we know she can’t really control Hannibal’s actions so it’s just making me worry about her fate.
In the flashback Hannibal’s training Abigail.
I’m not even questioning this scene right now.
It just disturbed me to see this guy in a suit for some reason. All green faced and everything.
Also dead. Which is the main point.
Yeah, Hannibal, why for the love of God?
*Sigh* Then there is this guy. Because obviously, a sophisticated Cannibal named Hannibal isn’t enough, so we had to have a dude who thinks he’s a dragon and he’s probably on TIME’s “The 100 Creepiest Creeps to Ever Creep” list.
Honestly I’m not too interested in his storyline, at least not enough to watch him be a creep in slow motion. So I kinda fast forward his silent transformation scenes because they seriously get frustrating for me.
No dog is orphaned in Will Graham’s world. He later runs into Freddie Lounds who annoys him as usual.
Freddie’s lines were gold in this episode. “I covered your junk with a black box. A big black box. You’re welcome.” I want to cry.
Also Will’s face when he says “You called us ‘Murder Husbands'”
“You did run off to Europe together.”
Ugh, he gives me stomach cramps.
That’s it. That’s the character.
Later he’s like:
They bond and Reba tells him she likes that he shows her no sympathy.
But later in his dreams:
It really made me feel uneasy when Hannibal asked, “How much room does Will have?” regarding his scars.
In another flashback we see Will call Hannibal to warn him. Hannibal isn’t exactly happy and instead of leaving, he decides to stay and give everybody hell. Including Abigail.
Poor Abigail. You deserved better.
This is like watching a beautiful disaster. It stresses me out so much but I don’t want to stop watching. Let’s wait and see how things will turn out with the cannibal & the dragon.
